Event Details

Out of the Ashes is a film festival featuring films by local Bay Area female filmmakers, all of which share the theme of women overcoming various obstacles and adversities.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, films begin at 7:30, followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers.

$10 Tickets include a free drink and snack. All proceeds benefit Oakland Elizabeth House and Project Peace East Bay.

Project Peace East Bay is privileged to partner with Oakland Elizabeth House in cultivating better communities. Oakland Elizabeth House is a transitional residence for women and women with children who have experienced homelessness, violence, addiction or poverty. Its mission is to support women and children of all backgrounds in their transition to independence.  Oakland Elizabeth House is committed to creating, nurturing and maintaining a co-operative living environment of hospitality and respect.
